Consultation
The WitsBITS team offer consulting services in these broad domains:
- Expert REDCap project review and design support
- General health informatics expertise during project planning and conceptualisation
- Bioinformatics project planning, data analysis & interpretation and pipeline/workflow implementation
The aims of the consultations are to:
- Ensure that everyone in the area has the opportunity to review the proposed plans and provide their feedback.
- Build awareness and support for the project through meaningful engagement.
- Seek feedback on the concept design and identify any issues that should be addressed in the next design stages.
The consultation programme includes both online and face-to-face channels to encourage a broad range of responses from different groups. Consultations are free of charge and are designed to guide and support members of the Wits community with health informatics-related issues. Some projects may require multiple sessions throughout the project lifecycle. For projects that demand more extensive involvement beyond expert guidance, such as REDCap project design, software development, or customised training content, we charge a consulting fee of R739.13 exclusive of vat.
